Worth every penny. If you want to buy or sell a house without worry, Michael is the real estate agent for you. My wife and I were in the Albany area on military orders. When we were re-assigned to a new location we needed to have our house sold on a tight schedule. We did the research and interviewed several of the regions best rated agents. During the interview process, Michael Keefrider impressed us with his pre-meeting research, experience and knowledge. He was described by another, highly recommended agent who we also interviewed for the job of selling our home, as the “big dog” in the area because of Michael’s well established reputation to get the job done. He was fair, honest, and has the heart of a teacher. He explained each step of the process and had extensive contacts in the community to help us prep our house for sale. Any time during the process a concern or problem arose, Michael new exactly what to do. It took only two weeks to get our first offer, and with Michael’s help we quickly negotiated to an agreeable price. When that deal fell apart due to the buyer’s inability to finance Michael got us a second, better offer within a few days! Without Michael the process would have been VERY stressful, but his integrity, hard work and dedication to the task made it all seem easy. We were very satisfied with the end result (specifically sale price and timing). There is a reason Michael Keefrider is known as the best in the business, he is a must hire if you want to buy or sell your home in the New York Capital Region.

Mr. Keefrider sold my mother’s house in less than one day; actually, in less than 10 hours. He helped me get the house ready to sell, and asked tons of questions to be sure to get all the details of the listing correct. He saved me so much time and running around because he knew how and where to find all the tax and property data. He stayed in touch with me three or four times daily to keep me up to speed on what the progress was. I’m incredibly impressed with his knowledge of the Albany-area real estate market, with his professionalism and courtesy, and his patience with me (I was a very nervous seller). I recommend Michael whole-heartedly to anyone who wants to do any kind of real estate in Albany-Schenectady-Troy area. He really walks on water!

Coldwell Banker is a full service real estate company. Michael Keefrider knew people and companies that could fulfill any need that arose.

The interest of the agent in fulfilling the seller's needs and understanding the emotions of the seller in selling their home. Also helpful are the connections made with helping to find a person to do some of the minor repairs and painting and help with cleaning out the house at a reasonable price. Knowledge about what a bank will accept and reject during the mortgage process for the buyer. Getting ahead of repairs that would affect this process was very important for the smooth sale of our home.

I used Michael Keefrider for the second time and he is a truly great - he is very professional, know the market, properties, other agents and knows how to work with the client in all capacities. A day after we put the house on the market, while attending a service at my church, during personal intention prayers, I did pray for well being of my family. Next I had a thought to pray for a successful home sale, however, upon reflection I decided not to pray for it, since I hired such a superb professional. Later that evening we got the first offer and the next day two more - clearly I was correct to focus my prayers on issues that actually need a prayer.

Michael is thoroughly knowledgeable about services Coldwell Banker had to offer, the current state of the local real state market, opportunities for buyers, the kind of borrowers that are out there today, and current lending conditions. These knowledge points are likely not all of the relevant issues an agent can bring to the table, but these points were important to me as a seller! I wanted to know what the market was like in my area, what the likelihood was that I may be able to sell my property. Michael was competent and knowledgeable about all the relevant issues that helped me right through to the sale of my property. He said it would sell, and he sold it in one day! I'm sure that's probably not the case for everyone, but I am a happy camper!

Buying a house is a long, complicated and emotionally charged process, and Michael helped us every step of the way. I believe we went to see close to 20 houses with him before we found our home. He never rushed us to buying. In fact, he would even point out things we would not have noticed while looking at houses. He was quick to respond to our calls, emails and requests. He spent a lot of time with us, so he knew us very well and capably represented us in talking to the seller and the lawyer, especially in regards to some issues found during a home inspection. He was always looking out for us and making sure we were informed and comfortable throughout the process. Michael is someone we completely trust and highly recommend him, especially to first time homebuyers like us.

Michael was very helpful in our home search. He honed in on our needs quickly from our preferences and dislikes to help us find the right fit. He was communicative and responsive to our questions and calls. He was very helpful in dealing with a FSBO that was very difficult. We appreciated his depth of experience in this situation and was the most professional realtor we have dealt with. He didn't seem particularly phased by anything the owner could put out even though we were amazed that sellers could be so difficult, seeing that we have been through corporate relocations a few times and seen a few strange things thrown into a home sale.

Michael was our agent in selling our house and buying our new house, and as it happened he was also the seller's agent for the house we bought - a situation which could be dicey, but we felt he handled very professionally. He didn't try to steer us towards his listings and gave us lots of options for how we could handle the situation when we ended up wanting to buy this house. We never had trouble getting time from him when it was convenient for us - and with two young kids, we were extremely demanding in that regard. Michael and his staff were also very helpful in helping us negotiate a pre-closing occupancy agreement as part of our purchase which saved us a lot of money and hassle in moving twice! He was very helpful and in our dealings with other realtors I definitely got the impression that he had it more "together" than anyone else.
